OBE Intensive Workshop at the Monroe Institute By Franck Labat, Valence, France The OBE workshop is held in a very special place; The Monroe Institute. TMI was created by the author, Robert Monroe who is a pioneer in the study of out-of-body experiences and altered states of consciousness. Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains just 30 minutes from Charlottesville, Virginia this place is magical. Upon arrival, we are immediately greeted by a member of the institute who shows us our room and takes us on a tour of the facility. It’s like a friendly family home, or lodge and the atmosphere is cozy. In our individual rooms we are shown our CHEC units. This is a partially enclosed bed to sleep but also a special space dedicated for our OBE practice. Inside each unit is a high fidelity headset and speakers.
